Karungali Vel Worship Method :

After revceiving Karungali Vel, first wash once with raw milk, then wash it once with pure water, allow it to dry well then wipe it with a clean cloth. At an auspicious time place the Vel in a heap of Vibuthi(Nattu Mattu Thiruneeru/Desi Cow Dung Bhasma) or Raw Rice in a Brass or Copper Pot/Plate in the Pooja Room and insert the Vel in a standing position.
